For many people, buying a second-hand e-bike feels like a gamble: you don't know who has ridden it, how many kilometres the battery has done or whether it has ever been serviced. At BikePlace that's not an issue. Every e-bike here comes from the rental fleet of Fietsverhuur Zeeland. We know exactly how many kilometres it has done, who worked on it and what was replaced — because that was our own mechanics.

You choose the mileage, and with it the price

That's the difference from an ordinary used bike. Instead of one bike with one fixed mileage, you choose the condition you want the bike in. The condition tiers range from 2.000–3.000 km to 5.000–6.000 km, and the more kilometres you accept, the sharper the price. An e-bike with 5.500 km on the clock is technically far from worn out: our rental bikes are checked daily and get a full service before sale.

Well-known premium brands, no nameless imports

We only rent out bikes we stand behind ourselves, and those are the brands you'll find in every good bike shop. Mid-drive motor, hydraulic disc brakes, a low step-through and a battery from a manufacturer that will still exist in five years. Not a web shop e-bike with a battery you can no longer find a replacement for after two years.

Twelve months of warranty, including the electronics

Every nearly new e-bike comes with 12 months of BikePlace warranty as standard, included in the price. Want longer peace of mind on the most expensive parts? Then you can extend it with 12 extra months on battery, motor and display. On top of that, Bosch's own factory warranty applies to Bosch drive systems.

Two bikes in one request

Many people are looking for two: one for themselves and one for their partner, often in different colours. You can do that here in the same request. Set the quantity per colour on the product page and see the total right away, including delivery and disposal fee.

Delivered throughout the Netherlands and Belgium, or pick up yourself

We deliver your used e-bike throughout the Netherlands and Belgium from € 49. Prefer a test ride first? You can do that at our main branch in Burgh-Haamstede on Schouwen-Duiveland, or at our pick-up points in Ouddorp, Alblasserdam and Utrecht. That way you buy a used e-bike close to home, whether you live in Zeeland, Zuid-Holland, Utrecht or just across the border.

Frequently asked questions about used e-bikes

How long will the battery of a second-hand e-bike last?
A modern bike battery lasts hundreds of charging cycles and loses capacity gradually, not all at once. Our e-bikes have a known mileage, so you know how much has already been used. The battery is also covered by the warranty.

Isn't a rental e-bike heavily used?
Rental bikes make lots of short trips and are actually kept in tip-top condition, because a bike standing still costs us money. Every bike gets a full service before it's sold.

Can I take it for a test ride first?
Yes, by appointment. Let us know which model you'd like to try, and we'll have the right bike ready at the location that suits you.
