Buy a used electric cargo bike — from our own rental fleet

For most people, buying a second-hand electric cargo bike is a leap in the dark. You buy a bike worth three to five thousand euros from someone you don't know, without knowing how many kilometres the battery has done or when the drive was last checked. At BikePlace that's not an issue: every cargo bike here comes from the rental fleet of Fietsverhuur Zeeland. We know exactly how many kilometres it has done, who worked on it and what was replaced, because that was our own mechanics.

Model year 2026, maximum 2.500 kilometres

The cargo bikes you'll find here are Urban Arrow Family Classic and FamilyNext, all model year 2026. They've been through one rental season and have a maximum of 2.500 kilometres on the clock — which is not much for an electric cargo bike. A cargo bike that takes children to school every day covers that in a year. The difference is that a rental bike goes through the workshop between every rental: brakes, tyres, lights, battery and drive are checked before the bike goes out again.

Why an Urban Arrow

The Urban Arrow is the best-selling electric cargo bike in the Netherlands, and there's a reason for that. The box is made of EPP foam: the same material as a bike helmet, light and shock-absorbing. The drive comes from Bosch, with a mid-drive motor that keeps the weight low and centred. Parts are available everywhere in the Netherlands and Belgium, and almost every bike mechanic knows the bike. That makes a used Urban Arrow a safer choice than a brand for which parts will no longer be available in five years.

Twelve months of warranty, including the battery

Every Premium used cargo bike comes with twelve months of BikePlace warranty on the frame, motor, battery, display and drive. Including the battery: if it fails within the year, we'll fix it, regardless of brand. Gradual loss of battery capacity through normal use isn't covered, because that's wear and not a defect. If you want to look further ahead, you can extend the coverage on battery, motor and display to twenty-four months for 99 euros.

You don't need to drive to Zeeland. We deliver throughout the Netherlands and Belgium, ready to ride and set up for you. Prefer to pick it up yourself or take a test ride first?
